- 1. Family Resource Center

Located at 6495 Lewis Avenue in Atascadero and in San Miguel at
Mission Street these facilities can provide families
with resources to meet basic needs, health needs, housing, etc, click

- 2. Health Insurance

We can assist you in enrolling your children in Healthy Families
Insurance or in providing you with referrals to Medi-Cal or First 5
Healthy Kids Program. These programs are designed to ensure most
children under 18 in the county for little or no cost. A family of 4
earning $58,000 still qualifies for one of these programs. Contact us

- 3. Teens at Work
- This program is designed to grow into a self supporting business
operated by teens with adult mentors. The teens collect recycling,
bake and sell cookies, make and sell jewelry and origami note cards.
They are currently earning approximately 20% of the cost of the
program. The teens involved learn responsibility, work ethic and
business skills.

- 4. Youth Community Service

This program is designed to assist youth in locating and
completing community service ordered by the courts, to meet school
graduation requirements or to just help in the community, click on the

- 5. Family Advocates

They can help. They are skilled professionals ready to provide
that compassionate and friendly shoulder to lean on. They help the
family or youth to navigate the system and provide support to get them
back on their feet. They have a wealth of knowledge regarding issues
such as homelessness, medical, dental, school, mental health, alcohol
and drugs, medi-cal, cal-works, child welfare, foster care, healthy
families, transportation and even more.
- 6. S.A.F.E. System of Care

Services Affirming Family Empowerment System of Care (S.A.F.E.)
is a community based school linked program designed to bring services
to families in the North County. The program is designed to work with

organizations and agencies located in San
Luis
Obispo can provide services to the community
of Atascadero and San Miguel.
