Family Advocacy

Family Advocates work directly with families and youth, linking them with services and providing guidance and support. In addition, one dedicated Family Advocate helps link homeless students and their families with services through the McKinney-Vento Act. These key members of The LINK provide in-home support to families by coordinating services and assisting in the process of removing barriers that interfere with the families’ success. When families are in need or in crisis, our Family Advocates are there to support them in school, throughout the social services network, and across social, cultural, and economic boundaries. Family Advocates offer hope and assurance as they guide families through the maze of available community services, working in partnership with the family to strengthen protective factors and increase well-being.
